Text
(1)The provisions of this act shall be administered by the department through the state cadastral surveyor.
(2)The functions, duties, and responsibilities of the department shall be:
(a)To establish a program for identification, restoration, maintenance, and perpetuation of the public land survey corners.
(b)To provide for the extension and densification throughout the state of the federally initiated precise geodetic horizontal and vertical control networks, whereby these basic framework surveys shall be extended to survey corners identified under this program to permit the general use of the coordinate systems. The information derived from this work shall meet the standards established by the National Geodetic Survey in order to be accepted and published by the National Geodetic Sur
