Text

(a)At the first meeting the taxables shall elect from their group the number of ditch managers specified in the ditch order, and a secretary-treasurer.
(b)The term of office of each ditch manager and of the secretary-treasurer shall be 1 year. If the ditch managers and secretary-treasurer first elected are elected prior to July 1 of any year, the time elapsing between said election and the first annual January meeting provided for in § 4159 of this title shall be deemed to constitute the first year of their terms of office. However, if the ditch managers and secretary-treasurer first elected are elected on or after July 1 of any year, their terms of office shall not be deemed to begin until the said first annual January meeting, although they shall assume the duties and responsibilities
