Text

A witness to a crime has all of the following rights:

(1)To maintain the confidentiality of their personal information as follows: a. A law-enforcement agency may not disclose the identity, residential address, telephone number, school, or place of employment of a witness or a member of the witness’ family, except as allowed under paragraph (1)d. of this section. b. A court may not compel a witness or a member of the witness’s family testifying in a criminal proceeding to disclose their residential address, school, or place of employment on the record unless allowed under paragraph (1)d. of this section. c. The information about a witness or a member of the witness’s family under paragraphs (1)a. and (1)b. of this section is not a public record under the Freedom of Information Act, Ch
