Text

(a)The Department shall be responsible for approving block party, expedited block party, and block party preauthorization applications. No fee shall be charged for the application.
(b)Upon receiving a completed block party application or block party preauthorization application, the Department shall submit a copy to the Metropolitan Police Department, the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for comments. (b-1) The Department shall approve or deny, and notify the applicant of its determination, for:
(1)An expedited block party application within 3 business days after receipt of the application;
(2)A block party application within 10 business days after receip
