Text

(1)In Fiscal Year 2019, the Department of Human Services shall establish a program to support students in District of Columbia public schools and public charter schools who are pregnant or parenting with the goals of:
(A)Keeping teen parents engaged in school;
(B)Improving the graduation rate of teen parents;
(C)Preparing teen parents for college or a career; and
(D)Preventing subsequent teen pregnancies.
(2)The program shall provide supports including case management, supplies and resources, assistance with securing services, educational workshops, incentives, and transportation stipends.
(b)The Department of Human Services may issue a grant, in an amount not to exceed $1 million, to administer the program established pursuant to subsection (a) of this sec
