§ 6-209 — Power to issue bonds, notes and other obligations.

(a)Pursuant to § 1-204.90 , subject to the restrictions of this chapter, the Council delegates to the Authority the power to issue revenue bonds, notes, and other obligations to finance, refinance, or assist in the financing or refinancing of any undertaking of the Authority in the area of housing that is in furtherance, and not inconsistent with, the purposes of this chapter. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as restricting, impairing, or superseding the authority otherwise vested in the HFA. Each such issuance shall be authorized by a resolution of the Authority and the Authority shall send a copy of the resolution to the Chairman of the Council and the Mayor.
