Text

For the purposes of this chapter, the term:

(1)"Child development center" shall have the same meaning as provided in § 4-401(2) . (1A) "Child development facility" shall have the same meaning as provided in in § 7-2031(3) . (1B) “Child-occupied facility” means a building, or portion of a building, which, as part of its function, receives children under 6 years of age on a regular basis and is required to obtain a certificate of occupancy as a precondition to performing that function. The term “child- occupied facility” includes a daycare center, nursery, preschool center, kindergarten classroom, child development center, child development home, child development facility, child-placing agency, infant care center, or similar entity.
