Text

(1)A charter granted to a public charter school shall remain in force for a 15-year period.
(2)A charter may be renewed for an unlimited number of times, each time for a 15-year period.
(3)An eligible chartering authority that grants or renews a charter pursuant to paragraph (1) or (2) of this subsection shall review the charter at least once every 5 years to determine whether the charter should be revoked for the reasons described in § 38-1802.13(a) or (b), in accordance with the procedures for revocation established under § 38-1802.13 .
(b)In the case of a public charter school that desires to renew its charter, the Board of Trustees of the school shall file an application to renew the charter with the eligible chartering authority that granted the charter not later than 120
