The Secretary of the State may make any changes in any forms prescribed by this chapter which, in the opinion of the Secretary, are necessary to conform to the applicable provisions of federal law.

P.A. 20-3 designated existing provisions as Subsec. (a), added Subsec. (b) re state election in 2020 and made a technical change, effective July 31, 2020; June Sp. Sess. P.A. 21-2 amended Subsec. (b) to add provision re certain elections, primaries and referenda held prior to November 3, 2021, effective June 23, 2021; P.A. 23-22 deleted Subsec. (a) designator and deleted former Subsec. (b) re state election in 2020, and certain elections, primaries and referenda held prior to November 3, 2021.
