The purposes of the corporation shall be to stimulate and encourage the research and development of new technologies, businesses and products, to encourage the creation and transfer of new technologies, to assist existing businesses in adopting current and innovative technological processes, to stimulate and provide services to industry that will advance the adoption and utilization of technology, to achieve improvements in the quality of products and services, to stimulate and encourage the development and operation of new and existing science parks and incubator facilities, and to promote science, engineering, mathematics and other disciplines that are essential to the development and application of technology within Connecticut by the infusion of financial aid for research, invention an
