Text
Notwithstanding any other provision of the general statutes, any elected or appointed state official of the executive, legislative or judicial branch may, at such official's sole discretion, elect to decline any compensation or benefit paid by the state that the official is otherwise entitled to receive pursuant to any provision of the general statutes or regulations by notifying the State Comptroller of such election. Such election shall be effective upon the date indicated in such notification.
