The Chief State's Attorney and the Attorney General, or their designees who shall be attorneys in their respective offices, shall annually conduct a legal review of the police policies and practices of the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, including the policies and procedures relative to the protection of civil liberties. They shall examine all police practices and procedures followed by the Division of State Police and shall select the practices and procedures to be reviewed.
