Text

(a)The Commissioner of Administrative Services shall adopt regulations in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 for the design, construction, installation, repair, use and operation of boilers in Connecticut. Such regulations shall conform as nearly as possible to the Boiler Code of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the National Board Inspection Code, both as amended, and shall prescribe requirements as to the construction, installation, repair, use and inspection of boilers in the interest of public safety. The Commissioner of Administrative Services shall hold hearings for the purpose of securing aid in the formulation of such regulations. Such hearings shall be public and representatives of all parties interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard.

(a) and (c), effective July 1, 2011; P.A. 13-247 replaced references to “Commissioner of Construction Services” with references to “Commissioner of Administrative Services” and amended Subsec. (a) to make a technical change and add reference to Ch. 54, effective July 1, 2013.
