(a)Where the board finds that compliance with all requirements of this chapter or regulations adopted pursuant thereto, other than requirements related to the purity, potability and safeguarding of well water, would result in undue hardship, an exemption from one or more of such requirements may be granted by the board, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Consumer Protection, to the extent necessary to ameliorate such undue hardship and to the extent such exemption can be granted without impairing the intent and purpose of this chapter.
(b)With respect to matters related to the purity, potability and safeguarding of well water under section 19a-37 , where a local director of health finds that compliance with all requirements of this chapter or regulations adopted pursuant ther
