Text
As used in this section, “poultry” means chickens, turkeys, ducks, game birds and other domestic fowls. Any person engaged in raising one thousand or more poultry for the sale of poultry and poultry products shall register with the Commissioner of Agriculture annually on April first. Each such person shall maintain on the premises where the poultry is kept facilities for the sanitary disposal of birds which die otherwise than by slaughter. Such facilities may be incinerators or disposal pits, or such other facilities as the commissioner may approve. The commissioner may, by regulation, establish standards concerning size, location and construction of such facilities to insure their adequacy to prevent the spread of disease.
