(a)No person shall operate a medical x-ray system unless such person has obtained a license as a radiographer from the department pursuant to this section. Operation of a medical x-ray system shall include energizing the beam, positioning the patient, and positioning or moving any equipment in relation to the patient. Each person seeking licensure as a radiographer shall make application on forms prescribed by the department, pay an application fee of two hundred dollars and present to the department satisfactory evidence that such person (1) has completed a course of study in radiologic technology in a program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association or its successor organization, or a course of study deemed equivalent t
