Not later than July 1, 2018, the Commissioner of Consumer Protection, with the advice and assistance of the Commission of Pharmacy, shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, to allow not more than fifty retail locations during the first year and not more than an additional fifty retail locations in each year thereafter, at pharmacies licensed pursuant to chapter 400j, to accept and dispose of unused prescription drugs.
