The Commissioner of Consumer Protection, with advice and assistance from the commission, may adopt such reasonable regulations, in accordance with chapter 54, as the commissioner deems necessary to carry out the provisions of sections 20-500 to 20-528, inclusive. Such regulations shall, at a minimum, address appraiser qualifications, continuing education, discipline, appraiser certification, provisional licensing and applications for and renewals of such certifications and licenses, and shall require any appraiser to comply with generally accepted standards of professional appraisal practice as described in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice issued by the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation pursuant to Title XI of FIRREA. Sess. P.A. 03-6 replaced Commissioner of Consumer Protection with Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess.
