(a)No person shall receive a license under the provisions of this chapter until such person has passed an examination in such technical and professional subjects as may be prescribed by the board, with the consent of the Commissioner of Consumer Protection. Each person who applies to the Department of Consumer Protection for a license under the provisions of this chapter shall submit an application, together with evidence of education and training experience as prescribed by the commissioner, in consultation with the board, in regulations adopted in accordance with chapter 54.
