(a)As used in this section:
(1)“Licensee” means a funeral director or embalmer licensed pursuant to this chapter; and (2) “department” means the Department of Public Health; and (3) “registration period” means the twelve-month period that commences on the date of renewal of the licensee's license, as provided in section 19a-88, and is current and valid.
(b)Each licensee shall complete a minimum of six hours of continuing education during each registration period, two of which shall be in the area of federal and state laws regarding the provision of funeral services, including applicable Federal Trade Commission regulations. Each licensee shall complete his or her initial continuing education in the area of federal and state laws regarding the provision of funeral services not later than
