Text

(a)As used in this section:
(1)“Health care facility” means an outpatient surgical facility, as defined in section 19a-493b , or a hospital, as defined in in section 19a-490 , but does not include a chronic disease hospital, as defined in section 19a-550 ;
(2)“Health care provider” means a person or an entity that is licensed, certified or registered by the Department of Public Health to provide health care services pursuant to this title;
(3)“Surgical technologist” means a person who performs surgical technology services who is not a health care provider;
(4)“Surgical technology services” means surgical patient care including, but not limited to, one or more of the following:
(A)Preparing an operating room and the sterile operating field for surgical procedures by ensuring that surg
