Text
(a)As used in this section, “Indian child” has the same meaning as provided in section 46b-116a.
(b)In any action or proceeding under this chapter or chapter 319a involving an Indian child's custody, including foster care placement, preadoptive placement, adoptive placement or termination of the parental rights of the parents of such child, the Commissioner of Children and Families shall ensure that such action or proceeding is conducted in accordance with sections 46b-116 to 46b-116aa , inclusive.
