Nothing in sections 17a-674b to 17a-674f, inclusive, shall preclude the funding of a trust for direct support and services for survivors and victims of the opioid epidemic and the family members of such survivors and victims who have been directly impacted by such epidemic, pursuant to the settlement agreement dated March 11, 2022, between the Nine, identified in such settlement agreement as eight states, including this state, and the District of Columbia, and the Sackler parties.
