Text
(a)For purposes of this section, (1) “children with behavioral health needs” means children who are suffering from one or more mental disorders as defined in the most recent edition of the American Psychiatric Association's “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders”, and (2) “in-home respite care services” means in-home care for children with behavioral health needs, provided in order to afford such children's parents or guardians respite from caregiving.
(b)There is established an account to be known as the “Department of Children and Families in-home respite care services fund” which shall be a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund. The account shall contain any moneys required by law to be deposited in the account. Moneys in the account shall be expended by
