(a)The department shall be paid the following fees:
(1)For filing an application for a certificate of title, twenty-five dollars;
(2)for each security interest noted upon a certificate of title or maintained in the electronic title file pursuant to subsection (b) of section 15-214, ten dollars;
(3)for each record copy search, twenty dollars;
(4)for each assignment of a security interest noted upon a certificate of title or maintained in the electronic title file, ten dollars;
(5)for an application for a replacement certificate of title, twenty-five dollars, provided such fee shall not be required for any such replacement certificate of title;
(6)for filing a notice of security interest, ten dollars;

(b) If an application, certificate of title or other document required to be delivered to the department under any provision of sections 15-201 to 15-232 , inclusive, is not delivered to the department within ten days from the time it is required to be delivered, the department shall collect, as a penalty, an amount equal to the fee required for the transaction. (c) Vessels leased to an agency of this state and vessels owned by the state, an agency of the state or a municipality, as defined in section 7-245 , shall be exempt from the fees imposed by this section.
