§ 15-153 — Alteration or defacing of certificate of number or registration or alteration, removal or obliteration of number displayed on vessel.

No person shall alter or deface a certificate of number or registration or alter, remove or obliterate the number displayed on a vessel. Violation of any provision of this section shall be an infraction.

(1961, P.A. 506, S. 20; P.A. 76-381, S. 33; P.A. 81-423, S. 13, 25.) History: P.A. 76-381 stated that violation is an infraction; P.A. 81-423 inserted changes consistent with those in other sections of the act, replacing identification numbers with registration numbers and “motorboat” with “vessel”.
