Text
The commissioner may issue to each manufacturer licensed under the provisions of sections 14-67a to 14-67d, inclusive, registrations with the same distinguishing number. Each such registration shall expire biennially on the last day of June. For the issuance of each such registration and for the biennial renewal thereof there shall be charged a fee of one hundred forty dollars; except that the fee for a commercial registration shall be the fee charged for the maximum gross weight of the motor vehicle on which such number or mark is used and except as otherwise provided by subsection (g) of section 14-49. Registration certificates issued under the provisions of this section shall not be required to be carried upon such motor vehicles when on the public highways as required under subsection
