Text
As used in sections 14-327a to 14-327e, inclusive:
(1)“Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Consumer Protection.
(2)The “American Society for Testing and Materials” means the scientific and technical organization established for the development of standards of characteristics and performance of materials, products, systems and services and the promotion of related knowledge.
(3)“Distributor” means any person who imports or causes to be imported into this state motor fuel for sale or use in this state or any person who produces, refines, blends, manufactures or compounds motor fuels within this state for sale or use in this state and includes any affiliate of either such person who purchases motor fuel for sale, consignment or distribution to another or receives motor fuel on consignm

P.A. 03-6 replaced Commissioner of Consumer Protection with Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6, thereby reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004.
