Text
No station or place of business for the wholesale or retail sale of gasoline shall be established or maintained in a place adjoining a state highway, or in a town or city containing fewer than ten thousand inhabitants according to the last-preceding census of the United States, unless the person establishing or maintaining such station has procured from the commissioner a certificate stating that, in the opinion of the commissioner, the location of such station or place of business will not imperil the safety of the public. The commissioner may revoke any such certificate whenever, in his opinion, such station will, by reason of its location, imperil the safety of the public. For the initial examination of the location of each such station there shall be charged the sum of one hundred doll
