§ 14-168a — Sale of assembled wreckers or other motor vehicles by used car dealers.

(a)Notwithstanding the provisions of any section of the general statutes, a used car dealer licensed in accordance with the provisions of section 14-52 who enters into a contract with a manufacturer of equipment or parts used in the assembly of a wrecker, including a flatbed wrecker, as defined in section 14-1, or used in the assembly of a special purpose body to a cab and chassis, including a body for a refuse compactor, transit mixer, dump truck, tank truck or other vehicle designed for the transportation of bulk materials or to which machinery is attached, and who purchases from a new car dealer licensed in accordance with the provisions of section 14-52 any new chassis, cab or other portion of an incomplete motor vehicle for such purpose, may sell or offer for sale such wrecker or oth
