(a)The commissioner may license dealers to purchase fuel that is exempt under subparagraph (L) of subdivision (3) of subsection (a) of section 12-458 from distributors and to sell such nontaxable fuel, provided they can properly control such sale, through meters or by full tank wagon compartment delivery, directly into the fuel tank of any aircraft or aircraft engine. The dealer so licensed shall keep and maintain proper accounting records of all purchases from the distributor and sales invoices to the purchaser, showing the signature of the purchaser and the license number of the aircraft serviced, and the inventory on hand on the first day of each month. (a) to provide for the tax free sales of aviation fuel for aviation purpose at airports and to make conforming and technical changes, effective June 24, 1997, and applicable to sales occurring on or after January 1, 1998; P.A. 98-262 amended Subsec. (a) to change reference from Subpara. (M) to Subpara. (L) of Sec. 12-458(a)(3), effective June 8, 1998.
