Text

Any person who fails to secure or renew a license as provided in section 12-287 or 12-288 shall forfeit as a penalty for each day of operation without such license the sum of fifty dollars. The commissioner is authorized to waive all or any part of the penalties provided in this section when it is proven to his satisfaction that the failure to secure or renew such license was due to reasonable cause.
