(a)(1) On and after July 1, 2022, the Technical Education and Career System board shall recommend a candidate for superintendent of the Technical Education and Career System to the executive director of the Technical Education and Career System. The executive director may hire or reject any candidate for superintendent recommended by the board. If the executive director rejects a candidate for superintendent, the board shall recommend another candidate for superintendent to the executive director until the executive director hires a candidate for superintendent.
(2)The term of office of the superintendent shall be three years and may be extended by the executive director, after consultation with the Technical Education and Career System board regarding such extension, for no more than thr
