Text

There is established a grant program to provide grants and support services for local institutions in the humanities, including, but not limited to libraries, museums and historical and cultural societies and associations. The program shall be administered by the Connecticut Humanities Council. Grants shall be made yearly and shall be payable on a matching basis. Each grant under this section shall be matched equally by the local institution through in-kind contribution, monetary contribution, or any combination of an in-kind or monetary contribution. In the case of grants in the amount of five thousand dollars or more but less than twenty-five thousand dollars, at least twenty-five per cent of the matching contribution by the local institution shall be from private sources.
