Text
The Commissioner of Administrative Services may require any town or regional board of education applying for a grant for a school building project, pursuant to this chapter, to conduct a safety assessment of the school building project to measure compliance with the school safety infrastructure criteria, established pursuant to section 10-292r. Such town or regional board of education shall use an assessment tool designated by the commissioner or an alternative assessment tool that provides a comparable safety and security assessment of the project, as determined by the commissioner.
