Text
The Department of Education shall establish a Red Ribbon PASS Program. The department shall develop or adopt existing standards to be used for the purpose of recognizing those local and regional school districts that qualify as a highly performing, physically active school system, or as an improving physically active school system. A local or regional board of education may submit, at such time and in such manner as the department prescribes, a request for such recognition by providing (1) the school district's results on the Connecticut physical fitness assessment, and (2) a demonstration of how the school district has satisfied the standards developed or adopted by the department.
