§ 10-206e — School-based Medicaid coverage. State plan amendment to expand coverage to all Medicaid-enrolled students. Required guidance, reporting.

(a)As used in this section, “local educational agency” or “LEA” has the same meaning as provided in 20 USC 1401, as amended from time to time.
(b)To the extent permissible under federal law, and subject to federal approval and within available funding specifically appropriated for this purpose, the Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner of Education, shall seek federal approval to amend the Medicaid state plan to expand Medicaid coverage for health services provided by or on behalf of a local educational agency to any student who is enrolled in Medicaid regardless of whether such student qualifies for services under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, 20 USC 1400 et seq., or section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as each is amended f
