(a)As used in this section, “eligible applicant” means any person applying for an initial educator certificate who has successfully met the preparation and eligibility requirements specified by the State Board of Education, except for the requirement that such person achieve a satisfactory evaluation on any licensure examination required under section 10-145f.
(b)Not later than January 1, 2019, the Commissioner of Education shall enter into a memorandum of understanding with one or more teacher licensure assessment vendors regarding the provision of licensure examinations required under section 10-145f for eligible applicants.
