Text

Except as otherwise provided in this part 1, the provisions of the Public Utilities Law, articles 1 to 7 of this title, shall not apply to cooperative electric associations which have, by an affirmative vote of the members and consumers pursuant to section 40-9.5-104, voted to exempt themselves from such provisions and to be subject to the provisions of this part 1. The period of exemption shall begin on the date the election results are filed with the public utilities commission.
