§ 40-17-101 — Definitions
As used in this article 17, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Commission means the public utilities commission created in section
40-2-101.
(2)Consumer means a person who purchases prepaid wireless
telecommunications service in a retail transaction.
(3)Department means the department of revenue.
(4)Enterprise means the communication services for people with
disabilities enterprise created in section 26-21-103.5.
(5)Prepaid telephone disability access charge or charge means the
charge imposed by the communication services for people with disabilities
enterprise pursuant to section 26-21-103.5 (1)(a)(III).
(6)Retail transaction means the purchase of prepaid wireless
telecommunications service from a seller for any purpose other than resale.
