Text

The attorney for said city or city and county, in the name of such city or city and county, shall apply to the district court of the district in which said city or city and county is situated, by petition, which petition shall state the general nature of the improvement proposed to be established or made, a correct description of the property required, and the name of the owner of said property as shown on the records of the county clerk and recorder of the county or city and county in which said property is situated. Said petition shall pray for the appointment of three disinterested commissioners, freeholders of real estate in and residents of said city or city and county, to appraise and award the damages which said owner may sustain by reason of the appropriation and condemnat
