Text
As used in articles 30 to 44 (except part 2 of article 41) of this title 38 and part 5 of article 10 of title 12, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Deed includes mortgages, leases, releases, and every conveyance or
encumbrance under seal.
(2)Land and real estate shall be construed as coextensive in meaning
with the terms land, tenements, and hereditaments and as embracing all
mining claims and other claims, and chattels real.
