Text
(1)The state engineer shall
furnish such directions and require such performance with respect to the work of
those under his jurisdiction as will ensure continuous, efficient, and effective
discharge of the functions of the division of water resources.
(2)It is the duty of the state engineer to call to the attention of the state
personnel director any conduct or failure of conduct of any employee in the division
of water resources which would merit discharge or discipline beyond the authority
of the state engineer, and, if necessary, he shall file formal charges with respect to
such matters.
(3)Default in performance of his duties by the state engineer may be made
the subject of charges by the executive director of the department of natural
resources or the governor.
