Text
The willful destruction, injury, or
removal of any bench marks, witness marks, stakes, or other reference marks,
placed by the surveyors or engineers of the district or by contractors in
constructing the works of the district, is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not
more than one hundred dollars. The original field notes of surveys shall be the
permanent property of the district.
