Text
There is hereby created in the
state treasury the stream gauge fund, referred to in this section as the gauge
fund. The state treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer two
hundred fifty thousand dollars from the Colorado water conservation board
construction fund to the gauge fund. The moneys in the gauge fund are hereby
continuously appropriated to the board for stream gaging and data collection
efforts related to instream flow monitoring, compact protection, decision support
systems, and flood forecasting and analysis. In addition to any remaining balance in
the gauge fund at the end of any fiscal year, the board is hereby authorized, from
the water conservation board construction fund, to annually provide up to two
