Text

(1)Any district organized under this article has the power, whenever necessary or expedient to promote the object of the district:
(a)To provide for the drainage of lands whether lying within or without the boundaries of such district;
(b)To acquire by condemnation or otherwise such lands as are necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of such ditches, canals, drains, or other works as are required for the drainage of such lands;
(c)To accept grants or loans of money from the federal government, or any department or agency thereof, for the construction of such drainage ditches, canals, drains, or other works, and to enter into such contracts for the maintenance of such drainage system as are necessary to be entered into in order to procure any such grant o
