§ 37-43-134 — Voting on bond issue
The president of the board of directors, or
in his absence one of the other members of the board of directors of the district,
shall preside at such meeting and the secretary of the board shall act as secretary
of the meeting. The landowners present shall elect three of their own number to act
as judges who shall determine all questions arising concerning ownership of land
and the regularity and authenticity of proxies. The owners of land in the district or
their duly authorized proxies shall vote by ballot containing the words for the
bonds and against the bonds, with spaces opposite wherein the voter may place
a cross mark (X) to express his choice. Said ballot shall also have appropriate
