§ 37-42-110 — Directors to organize - powers

Colorado·Title 37 Water and·Art. Irrigation District Law of 1921
(1)On the same day the board of directors is elected, and immediately following the meeting at which they were elected, the board shall meet for the purpose of organization of the board. It shall select one of its own members as president of the irrigation district and shall select a secretary who may or may not be a member of the board.
(2)(a) The board of directors shall be the governing body of the irrigation district for which it is elected and shall have the power to make and alter bylaws, rules, and regulations for the distribution of water and for the conduct of the district business not inconsistent with the laws of the state of Colorado and to make such contracts and employ such persons as are necessary for the conduct of the affairs of the district, in general exercis
