§ 37-21-107 — Failure of director to qualify
In the event that a person elected
as director of a drainage district fails or refuses to qualify within the time
prescribed in this article, a vacancy shall exist and the board of county
commissioners of the county where the office of the drainage district is located
shall appoint a director who shall hold the office until the next regular district
election, and, upon filing his oath and bond, the term of office of the director whose
successor was to be elected shall end.
