Text

(1)The Colorado board of veterans affairs and its powers, duties, and functions are transferred from the department of human services to the department of military and veterans affairs. The board shall advise and consult with the division in the administration and enforcement of this article 5. The Colorado board of veterans affairs is a type 2 entity, as defined in section 24-1-105.
(2)The board consists of seven members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate, who shall be veterans who have been honorably released or separated from the armed forces of the United States, but who need not be members of a veterans service organization.
